A Land Before Time
Approximately 14,000 years ago the continent experienced a warming trend and the once massive glaciers began to melt, opening up vast areas for vegetation and creating lakes, rivers, marshes and waterfalls.
Forests began to flourish in the warmer temperatures and fish and waterfowl began to inhabit the lakes and streams. Berries and wild plants gave sustenance to the indigenous people that began to inhabit the area.
