Recreational Trails

The Niagara Region is home to many fine recreational trails. Whether it is biking, hiking, rollerblading, jogging or walking there will be a trail in Niagara to suit your needs. One of the best known trails in Ontario - the Bruce Trail, winds its way along the Niagara Escarpment on its way to Tobermory, Ontario. This trail has some spectacular scenery and for those a little less adventurous there are many locations throughout Niagara where you can walk a short distance of it.

Perhaps one of the fastest growing attractions in Niagara is the Niagara River Parkway Trail, a paved recreational trail that takes you from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake, running alongside the Niagara River Parkway and the Niagara River. A bicycle ride along this trail is one of the best ways to explore Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. All of these trails have free public access and free parking.
