Mel Swart/Lake Gibson Park

Located in Thorold, Ontario around the hamlet formerly known as Beaverdams is the Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park.
Visitors to the park can stroll along a boardwalk, taking in the sights and sounds of Lake Gibson, a man made lake formed by flooding Beaverdams Creek with water from Lake Erie.
Lake Gibson supplies water for a large part of the city of St. Catharines and Thorold.
